About the Venue

Asma welcomes guests into her ancestral home in the heart of old Lucknow. Hidden behind high walls and nestled within a bustling bazaar, her palatial kothi and old wooden interiors whisper stories of a bygone era, offering guests a rare opportunity to experience the atmosphere of Lucknow’s aristocratic past.

About the Cuisine

It is often said that while North Indian culture evolved in Delhi, it was perfected in Lucknow.

Few things illustrate this better than Awadhi cuisine. Beginning in the eighteenth century, the Nawabi kitchens of Awadh developed dishes that prized aroma, balance, and refinement above all else. Kormas, kebabs, pulaos, biryanis, and breads designed to delight the senses continue to survive within the homes of old aristocratic families.

Typical Spread

A vintage Awadhi dastarkhwan (royal dining spread) is defined by its dum pukht (slow-cooking) heritage, delicate layering of spices (like mace, cardamom, and saffron), and use of ittar (perfumed oils). It features melt-in-the-mouth meats, fragrant rice, and decadent, slow-reduced milk desserts.
